7 My Son's Wedding

If I were to pick one special event in 2015, I already know which one I would choose even if the year is not over yet.

The main event of the year is my son's wedding last June 12, 2015.

Here is the message I wrote for my son and his bride on their wedding day

Every parent wants his child to have a happy ending. Casildo and I are no exception and I am sure Corazon feels the same way too. Today we are here to celebrate the first day of Jonan and Janette's love story as a
married couple.

To be honest, the past couple of days I have been experiencing separation anxiety because no matter how old our kids get, they never grow up in our eyes. So I am feeling sentimental that Jonan is moving out of the
house. Separation anxiety aside, today is about Jonan and Janette and our wish for them is simple, that from this day forward, they start building a life together that is based on mutual trust, lots of faith and most of all, love.

know that together you will be able to write your happy ending. After all Jonan is a creative writing major who takes after his parents who are both writers. If you were listening to their wedding vows this morning, you will know that they are both capable of writing their love story.

Before I close, you should know where Jonan and Janette are moving. Kids, see you at the back house on Monday.

  2. I giggled at the last part. Hah! You have such a cute family. I like how you're still over-protective over your son although he's already getting married. I hope one day I get my happy ending like your son and his wife, but a better one. I hope my kids would love and respect me as much as I do to them and raise them right like how you raised your son well.

  3. Your son got your face Ms.Eliz.Well that's nature, there are things that will left one day, but let's keep moving forward, there's something awaits at the end, like a rainbow after a thunderstorm.

  4. Your family was so cute! And I also like the way how you're still over-protective over your son because that is also the reason what my mom keeps on telling me, even though I'm just a teenager.

  7. Marriage is a sacred thing because it binds husbands and wives so closely together. They made a vow, "til death do us part" so I hope your son and his new wife will be together forever. Congrats Ms. Eliz regards to your son. I'm so happy for your family!

P.S Your husband is Spanish? AMAZING!!

  8. I think I understand this separation anxiety that you are experiencing. Just the thought of getting married and living away from my parents scares me because I don't want to leave them. I thought of having a boyfriend and spending more time with him than my family scares me as well. Hahaha I think this is just a proof that I am not ready to be in a relationship. Anyway, congratulations to your son's wedding and I know that their life as a married couple will be as amazing and as cute as you and your husband's.

Congratulations to your son Miss Elize, I liked the photos and even your message, it was a very thoughtful to have a mother like you, your message was so touching, I remembered when my sister got married last March, this year, yet I don't have much to say during my "Maid of Honor" speech, I wished I prepared one too.

  32. I experience watching a wedding when I was second year high school but that time it was quite opposite instead of my child being married (which I really don't have right now) it was my mom who was being wedded. I really know the feeling of anxiety watching your child or in case my mom being married to someone. And somehow after reading your letter it made me realize that "Ah! even if your in the middle age you can still find your true love and have a happy ending" . Anyway Congratulations to your son Ms. Eliz and may God always keep your family safe and sound.

It is really a heart-felting message for your son and I hope someday, my mom would give me that kind of message. :) thank you for sharing the events in your life Ms! :)
